Diploma in OD

DIPLOMA IN COMMUNITY AND ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (DCOD)

The Diploma in Community and Organisational Development (DCOD) programme is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills essential for effective community engagement and organizational management. This program focuses on developing competencies that enable graduates to foster sustainable development, enhance community participation, and implement effective organisational strategies. The graduate of DCOD is able to mobilise communities and organisations to initiate sustainable Community Development (CD) and Organisation Development (OD) programmes and change lives.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The following are the standard requirements for students seeking admission into the Diploma in Community & Organisational Development (DCOD) programme at the College:

  1. West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Examinations Category
  2. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)
  3. Applicant must have a grade E or better in three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies
  4. Any three elective subjects, with E or better preferably in the social sciences with an aggregate 30 or better in 6 subjects
  1. West African School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
  2. Applicant must have grade E8 or better in three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies)
  3. Any three elective subjects with E8 or better, preferably in the social sciences
  4. General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level
  5. Passes in three (3) subjects (at least one pass should be a grade E or better)
  6. Applicants must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English, Mathematics and a Science subjects or social science
  7. General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE):
  8. Passes in three (3) subjects (at least one pass should be a grade E or better)
  9. Applicants must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English, Mathematics, and Science subjects or social science in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE)
  10. Mature Students’ Entry

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be 25 years or above
  2. Show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate national identity (ID) card
  • Have passes in five G.C.E ‘O’ Levels subjects including English Language and Mathematics;
  1. SSSCE/WASSCE holders must have passes in English Language and Mathematics, Integrated Science or social studies, and three elective subjects
  2. Have five years post qualification working experience.
  3. Mature Students candidates are expected to write and pass a selection examination and an interview to be conducted by the college (mandatory).
  4. Foreign Qualifications

All foreign applicants seeking admission would be referred to GTEC for determination and approval.
