The College for Community and Organisational Development (CCOD) and DODCARS LBG today announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with Foshan Yakai Integrated Housing Technology Co., Ltd of China to introduce modern prefabricated classrooms, student hostels, housing units, and 24-hour markets into Ghana’s infrastructure space.

Smart Community Infrastructure

What the Partnership Will Deliver

Education & Health
Support communities’ educational, health, and specific infrastructure needs.
Religious Missions
Support missionary and outreach infrastructure development.
Universities & Colleges
Deliver hostel and housing solutions for tertiary institutions.
West Africa
Expand modern infrastructure solutions across the sub-region.

Why Smart Prefabricated Infrastructure Matters

Prefabricated construction uses factory-made components assembled on site, significantly reducing construction time and cost compared to traditional methods. The technology is termite-free, climate responsive, and designed for modern community infrastructure development.

“This partnership is about building foundations for community industrialization. We are not just importing buildings. We are partnering to institute knowledge transfer and technology, train 500+ Ghanaian youth through CCOD centre, create jobs, and solve real problems in education, health, and community development.”

As part of the agreement, a joint training and technology transfer programme will be established at CCOD’s campus. Ghanaian students and artisans will be trained in smart construction, prefabrication assembly, and facility management, ensuring skills and jobs remain in the country.

Site preparation for the first pilot projects at the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS) and CCOD campus is scheduled to begin in May 2026.

CCOD-DODCARS invites secondary schools, technical colleges, universities, health training institutions, and religious bodies across Ghana to engage on partnership opportunities for prefabricated classrooms, hostels, housing units, and market facilities under flexible financing and build-jointly-operate-transfer models.
