POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (PGDOD)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Organizational Development (PGDOD) programme is a one-year course designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in the field of organizational development. This program aims to equip graduates with the necessary competencies to analyse organisational challenges, develop effective strategies, and lead change initiatives within various sectors.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for admission into the PGDOD programme:

  1. Any weak first degree (3rd Class or Pass in any relevant field) from any recognised tertiary institution in Ghana or its equivalent.
  2. A post graduate diploma or first degree or its equivalent in any field of study from any recognized tertiary institution.
  3. MA/MBA/MSC holders in any relevant field are an advantage.
  4. Accredited post HND holders with HR Management and with an additional relevant post Diploma(s) in OD (certified OD professional or OD certified consultants’ certificate from any recognised tertiary institution) and at least 5 years in leading organisational change and leadership, will gain direct admission.
  5. Other Considerations: Since there have been different OD programmes being run in Africa, our PGDOD programme may consider applicants who show evidence of any relevant OD certificate(s)/qualification(s).
  6. Foreign Qualifications: All foreign applicants shall be assessed by GTEC to determine eligibility.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT(MSc. OD)

The Master of Science in Organisational Development (MOD) programme is an intensive 12-month course designed for professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in organizational development. This programme aims to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary for leading change and fostering effective organizational practices in various sectors. The MOD graduates are prepared to be certified consultants in the field of OD and HR. They have the capacity to facilitate change, create a consulting firm and play key roles in workplaces.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Eligible applicants MUST meet the following criteria in order to be considered for admission into the MOD programme:

  1. A good first degree (1st Class and 2nd class upper or lower divisions in any relevant field) from any recognized tertiary institution in Ghana.
  2.  A post graduate diploma in Organization Development (OD) or first degree or its equivalent from any recognized tertiary institution.
  3.  MA/MBA/MSC holders in any relevant field are an advantage.
  4. Accredited post HND holders with HR Management and with an additional relevant post Diploma(s) in OD (certified OD professional or OD certified consultants’ certificate from any recognized tertiary institution) and at least 5 years in leading organizational change and leadership, will gain direct admission.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT (MSc. PSD)

The Master of Science in Private Sector Development (MPSD) programme is a comprehensive 12-months course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for driving private sector growth and advocacy in Ghana and across Africa. This program aims to produce professionals capable of contributing to Ghana’s private sector development agenda through the implementation of practical interventions. They have the capacity to implement public-private-partnership (PPP) and development consultancy that creates enabling environment for the private sector operators. They are trained in a special way to advocate for development change and reforms in both private and public sectors.

  1. A good first degree (1st Class and 2nd class upper or lower divisions in any relevant field) from any recognized tertiary institution in Ghana.

MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY IN OD EDUCATION (Mphil. ODE)

The MPhil in Organizational Development Education (MPhil-ODE) program is a 24 months research-based postgraduate programme designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of organizational development, Action Research and Academic writing skills. This program emphasizes the application of theoretical concepts to real-world challenges, fostering the development of effective leaders and practitioners in organizational change, appreciative leadership and advance OD consulting skills in both small- and large-scale interventions. Graduates of this MPhil have the capacity to roll out various leadership, development, coaching, and academic programmes that benefits a larger group of people (health, education, commerce, general development services etc.)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Eligible applicants MUST meet the following criteria to be considered for admission into the MPHIL-ODE Programme:

  1. A good first degree (1stClass and 2nd class upper or lower divisions in any relevant field) from any recognized tertiary institution in Ghana.
  2. A post-graduate diploma in Organisation Development (PGDOD) or its equivalent from an accredited and recognized tertiary institution in Ghana or a Master of Arts holder in any field is an advantage.
  3. Any Accredited post HND (At least 3 years working experience) especially Management and Humanities Programmes.
  4. Any post Diploma(s) in OD (certified OD professional or OD certified consultants’) certificate from a recognized tertiary institution) and at least 3 years in leading organizational change and leadership, could be admitted. A post-professional graduate certificate in OD and post-professional OD practice is strongly required for this window of entry into the MPHIL-ODE.
  5. Other Considerations: Since there has been a different OD Programme being run in Africa, our MPHIL-ODE Programme may consider applicants who show evidence of any relevant OD certificate(s)/qualification(s). If it is verified and proved to be authentic, such applicants in addition to a written examination and interview, with results showing academic capability and competence, will gain admission into the MPHIL-ODE Programme.
  6. Applicants with a Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSC), PhD, MBA, or related qualification from an accredited and recognized tertiary institution/University in Ghana may apply for direct entry.
  7. Top up for MPHIL-ODE: All MSc in OD/MA in OD or related field are qualified for a 6-month top-up for modules 5 and 6, with full thesis. Academic requirement guides available for applicants.
  8. Foreign Qualifications: All foreign applicants shall be assessed to determine eligibility by GTEC.
